
It is the most wonderful time of the year! It wasn’t feeling much like December with how little snow we have been getting up here in Steamboat. But now the valley is blanketed with a fresh layer of white and it has my heart so happy! What are you doing this holiday season to keep your heart happy? It is so important to stay grounded, grateful and intentional during the holidays. One of my favorite gifts to give a close friend or family member is “12 Days of Christmas”. How this works is you come up with 12 gifts that encourage rest and relaxation for the holiday season. Wrap each one up with a little note and put it all in a big box for your friend/family to open 1 each day for the 12 days leading up to Christmas. Some of the ideas I’ve used in the past include: homemade sugar scrub, tea packets with printed poetry, Christmas movie, massage, invitation to a yoga class along with yourself, great book, etc. You friend/family will be so thankful for the opportunity you are giving them to reconnect with themselves during this busy season.
