2018 Giving Back

“We make a living by what we get.
We make a life by what we give.”

– Winston S. Churchill

A big part of why we do what we do is to use Bella Vista as a platform in which to do good. One of the ways we give back is by selecting 3 non-profits that we would like to support each year. Then we let our guests choose which 1 of the 3 they would like 10% of their deposit to go towards. As we begin considering our Giving Back recipients for 2019, we thought we should share a bit about who we chose to support this past year.

1. One by One
One by One was created by our property managers, Ryan and Alyssa Stauffer.  It exists to support projects that better our world. They have come alongside their friends at BL4P (Building Leaders for Peace). BL4P envisions a peaceful future by partnering with and equipping young people in conflict regions around the world. How they do that is by facilitating events and gatherings that help develop young leaders who will build peace through friendship, reconciliation, and service.  The upcoming camps are located in California, Colombia, Turkey, and Iraq.  To hear some stories of how the peace camps have changed lives click the following link. bl4p.com

2. Selah
Selah is the local reproductive health center here in Steamboat Springs.  Let’s admit it, the shock of becoming pregnant is real to anyone whether they are married and prepared (if such a thing exists) or single and totally unprepared. Selah is a resource for those facing this major life change whom may have questions and fears. Services include medical services, pregnancy information, adoption education, mom and dad coaching, abortion education, and post abortion support.

3. Old Town Hot Springs
Old Town Hot Springs has been a cornerstone of the Steamboat Springs community since the late 1800’s serving as a family-friendly, health, wellness, and recreation center built around a hot spring first discovered and utilized by the Ute Indians. To continue providing quality facilities and expanded services and programming at our historic facility, significant capital upgrades are underway including conference rooms, community gathering and meeting spaces, indoor walking track, climbing wall and fitness center expansion.

We are so thankful to have the opportunity to bless others through our business.  We can’t wait to see all the ways that God will use our Estate to do good throughout the years.  We know He has big plans for us and the Estate!
