Our Story

“The Stewards”

Welcome home to the Bella Vista! We are so excited to have the opportunity to host you and share the beauty of the Bella Vista with you.  Our journey began as students at Colorado State University where we met and fell in love. 10 years later we married, started a family, and became the humble stewards of Bella Vista!

Since taking over the Estate in 2016, the Bella Vista has completely transformed to what it deserves to be; a true sanctuary that is beautiful both inside and out.  It has been a labor of love and we want nothing more than for you to come and connect with those who are closest to you. When we are not dreaming of what the future holds for the Estate, we love hiking, biking, skiing, camping and spending time with our two young children.  We hope that you will come some day and enjoy this beautiful slice of heaven that we call home!

Sarah moved to Steamboat Springs from Denver in 2000.  She is rooted in Steamboat with a husband, two daughters, and two stepsons, of which all have been raised in the Yampa Valley. Being a long-time resident, Sarah has had the opportunity to see and experience this beautiful town through various stages of growth and change.

Sarah believes strongly in personal interaction and enjoys creating experiences and opportunities that will allow for meaningful connections to be made.  She has professional experience in education and working with youth and families as well as working with communities to bring together resources and collaboration.  She is excited to bring her passion for personal connections to Bella Vista as connection is at the core of our mission.

Outside of work, Sarah is a lover of new adventures, particularly travel.  She has traveled to a number of places throughout Europe and Central and South America and loves nothing more than to have a plane ticket and passport in hand.  When not traveling you can find Sarah hiking with her dog Eddie, wake surfing, paddle boarding, riding a Harley with her husband, working out, relaxing along the Yampa River and spending time with family and friends.
