Hiking

Surrounded by National Forest lands, high mountain lakes, and breathtaking views, Steamboat Springs is a popular destination for hiking and trekking. In the Lodge you will find Hiking the ‘Boat 2, the “backpacker’s bible” with all the information you could ever need to navigate local trails. The Gondola allows hikers and bikers access to 30 miles of scenic routes on the Steamboat Ski Resort. For a gentle ride or walk with the kids, take the Core Trail, which connects the ski area to downtown Steamboat Springs. Other trails close by include Emerald Mountain, Red Dirt at Mad Creek, Sarvis Creek, Rabbit Ears Pass and so many more!
